Basic Runtime Environment Configuration

A Basic Runtime Environment consists of several AMT Services and a default configuration set for an AMT application. This section explains how to set up a Basic Runtime Environment for an application in its simplest form.

The following steps are necessary to create a functioning Basic Runtime Environment:

  1. Creating a login account.
  2. Installing the basic services.
  3. Creating a Basic Runtime Configuration set.
  4. Adding an application to the runtime environment.
  5. Configuring the application in the runtime environment.

 Necessary User Rights
Installing services and performing maintenance in the runtime environment can only be performed by a user in a role with sufficient security rights. These rights can be configured in the Component Activation page in the Control Center (Security → Component Activation). For example, an Administrator role can be given the security rights for all parts of the Control Center. The user performing the basic setup and maintenance should be assigned to the Administrator role.
