Queued Jobs
This tab gives access to the queued jobs on the AMT-COBOL environment. A list of the queued jobs is displayed as shown below. A filter on the application, job type, queue and/or job name can be applied if desired.
When a queued job is selected the following actions are possible: View (queued job), Run (queued) job now, Remove all checked jobs. When Run job now is selected the job is executed regardless of the time settings of the job.
The item in the list can be checked by clicking on the Checked field of the item. All items can be checked at once by clicking the checkbox next to the Checked column name.
Multiple jobs can be removed at once by checking the checkboxes of the jobs and then selecting Remove checked jobs. Before removing the checked jobs a warning message and shown and confirmation of the removal is requested.
Notes:
- Different jobs are able to run simultaneously. For the same job to run simultaneously, the Simultaneous setting needs to be enabled in the Job Queue configuration (Simultaneous = true).
- Jobs are run in the same order as they are positioned in their queue.
If a job is unable to be processed, the jobs behind it in the same queue will be blocked from running and receive the Queued status, except in the following cases:- The Simultaneous setting of the queue is set to false—only the jobs with the same name will be blocked.
- The Start date/time of the job has not yet been reached—these jobs will not block other jobs.
When a batch controller is (re)started all the jobs with a start date/time less than the current date/time that have not yet been executed will be put in the suspended state and should be handled manually. |
All the times in the Job Management tabs are displayed in the local time zone of the user. |
