Roles

This tab shows a list of all the available roles on the AMT-COBOL environment as shown below. If default is set to true this role will be assigned to newly added users.

 
When a role is selected it is possible to View the details of a role, Edit the details of a role, Copy the details of a role to a new role or Remove a role. When Add, Edit or Copy is selected the following popup window opens, in case of Add with empty edit boxes.

• Role name: the name of the role
• Description: a text description of the role
• Default role: if checked this role will be automatically assigned to newly added users. Only a single role may be set to Default role.
• Language: The language to be used with this role
• Show all forms/jobs: when checked the users in this role can see all forms and jobs regardless of their individual security settings for that role in the Security Configuration pages of the Control Center.
• ControlCenter Administrator: Users in this role will automatically be granted all security permissions of the Control Center component type regardless of their security settings. Only a single role may be set to ControlCenter Administrator.  

Note: when a new role is added the user adding the new role will automatically be assigned to the new role.
