Languages

The Languages node of the Application options displays the supported languages for the application. You can choose one of these languages as the default language.

To add a new language for your application, right-click in the Languages box and select Insert from the context menu. You can also rename a language through this menu. Use the checkboxes to activate or deactivate defined languages.

Save the changes made in this screen and check in the global application options before generating objects. Otherwise, the changes are not picked up during object generation.

If you activate multiple languages, layouts for separate languages are created automatically for each report or form object in the application.

You can switch between language layouts with code using the system item SI-LANGUAGE.

At runtime, administrators can set or reset a default language for each user separately. End users have an option in AMT Screens to switch between the available languages for the application. Also see the "AMT Administration manual".
