Languages

In the Languages node of the Application options, the supported languages for the application are displayed. One of these languages can be chosen as the default language.

To add a new language for your application, right click in the Languages box and select Insert from the context menu. It is also possible to rename a language through this menu. Defined languages can be activated or deactivated through the checkboxes.

It is important to save the changes made in this screen, and to check in the global application options before objects are generated. Otherwise, the changes made are not picked up while generating the objects.

If multiple languages are activated, layouts for separate languages are created automatically for each report or form object in the application.

Through the use of code, it is possible to switch between language layouts with the system item SI-LANGUAGE.

At runtime, administrators can (re)set a default language for each user separately. End users have an option in AMT Screens to switch between the available languages for the application. Also see the "AMT Administration manual".
