Documentation

For every object that is presented in the repository tree you can add documentation. This is also possible for the application as a whole. If you have opened an object, or the Application options screen, a node called "Documentation" is presented in the left pane of the displayed screen. By right clicking on this node and choosing "insert", you can insert new subnodes. By selecting a subnode, you can edit documentation for the object in the right pane. It is also possible to add links to external files or sites here.

A URL reference can be added by typing "http://" or just "//", directly followed by the URL. For example, by adding one of the following specifications to the documentation screen, a link to the Avanade site can be added:

https://www.avanade.com
//www.avanade.com

A physical file path can be added by typing "file:\\" or "\\", directly followed by the file path. For example, a link to the file "example.txt" on "c:\temp" can be added with one of the following specifications:

file:\\temp\example.txt
\\temp\example.txt

Only one link can be added per line. The file or website will always be opened in the program that has been set in Windows as the default application for that purpose.
