Shortcut Folders
You can create a 'shortcut folder' (displayed as a yellow folder in the Repository view), in which you can add shortcuts to any of the objects in your application. This makes it easier to use revision control functions for all the objects within the folder. By right-clicking on the shortcut folder name, you can choose a revision control option to apply to all items within the folder at the same time (namely, 'Check-in', 'Edit', 'Unlock' & 'Assign Label').
Adding a shortcut folder
- In the Repository view, right-click on your application name, and choosing "Insert Folder" from the popup menu.
- Enter the name for this folder in the displayed dialogue box and click "Ok". You are allowed to give a folder a name that is already used for an object. Keep in mind that if you choose to do so, requesting that name in the Open box (F9) will then always open the object, not the folder.
- In the "Options" screen that will be displayed, you may alter the folder name and enter a description
- By selecting the "Documentation" node, then right-clicking on it and selecting "Insert", you may create a sub-node containing documentation. You may create multiple documentation sub-nodes. To delete or rename a documentation sub-node, right-click on its name.
- Click the Save buttons in the top toolbar on completion.
- It is also possible to add sub-folders within the shortcut folder by right-clicking on the shortcut folder name and selecting "Insert Folder" from the popup menu.
Adjusting a shortcut folder
- In the Repository view, right-click on the shortcut folder name, and choose "Options" from the popup menu.
- The "Options" screen will be displayed. You may change the folder name and description at any time.
- You may also change documentation and add/remove documentation sub-nodes at any time
- Click the Save buttons in the top toolbar on completion.
Deleting a shortcut folder
- In the Repository view, right-click on the shortcut folder name, and choose "Delete" from the popup menu. NOTE: this does not delete the actual objects, only the shortcuts and the shortcut folder.
