Documentation

Documentation can be added to every object present in the repository, as well as the application as a whole (in the application's options). In an opened object, the Documentation node is found in the left pane. Right click on the Documentation node and select Insert to add a sub node. Select a sub node to add or edit documentation in the right pane.

It is possible to add links to external files or websites in the documentation. To add a URL, start by typing "https://" or "//", followed by the URL. For example, by adding one of the following links to the documentation screen, a link to the Avanade site is created:

https://www.avanade.com
//www.avanade.com

A physical file path can be added by typing "file:\\" or "\\", directly followed by the file path. For example, a link to the file "example.txt" on "c:\temp" can be added with one of the following specifications:

file:\\temp\example.txt
\\temp\example.txt

Only one link can be added per line. The file or website will always be opened in the program that has been set in Windows as the default application for that purpose.
