Installation of Required Software
This page contains links to websites that give information about the different software that is available for use in combination with AMT-COBOL. For the exact system requirements go here.
We have checked these websites as much as possible, however, Asysco cannot be held responsible for the content on these pages, you access these pages at your own risk.
Database
Generally your system will be setup by one of our services consultants during migration, they can also inform you about the settings with which your database engine is installed. If you do wish to set an environment up yourself Asysco recommends to use the collation type: LATIN1_General_bin. Any other settings are not supported, except when setup by Asysco.
Microsoft SQL Server
When installing SQL Servers there are a few settings that are important for the correct functioning of AMT-COBOL. See Important Settings for MS-SQL Server for more information.

URL Rewrite
An extension for IIS, required to reroute requests.
When installing IIS there are a number of settings that are important for the correct functioning of AMT-COBOL. See Important Settings for IIS for more information.
Microsoft
.NET Core Desktop Runtime
The required version is 8.0.0, recommended is the newest 8.* version. Choose the correct architecture from the middle column ("Run desktop apps").
ASP.NET Hosting Bundle
The required version is 8.0.0, recommended is the newest 8.* version. Choose the Hosting Bundle from the right column ("Run server apps").
Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019
It is recommended to install both the 64 bit version as well as the 32 bit version.
Visual Studio 2022 Build Tools
The required version is 17.8 or newer. The required features of the Build Tools can be found on the 'Installing Visual Studio 2022 Build Tools' help page.
PowerShell
The required version is PowerShell 7.4.1 or newer.

UAC (User Access Control)
It's advised if using UAC to run AMT-COBOL Developer, AMT-COBOL Generator and other AMT-COBOL executables with the 'Run as Administrator' option.
