Keyboard Shortcuts

General Shortcuts

Key Combination Description

Alt+Esc

Rotate through programs in the order they were opened.

Alt+F4

Quit the active program.

Alt+Spacebar

Display the System menu for the program.

Alt+Tab

Switch between open programs.

Ctrl+A

Select all.

Ctrl+C

Copy.

Ctrl+Esc

Display the Start menu.

Ctrl+F4

Close the active window.

Ctrl+left arrow

Move the insertion point to the beginning of the previous word.

Ctrl+P

Print.

Ctrl+right arrow

Move the insertion point to the beginning of the next word.

Ctrl+V

Paste.

Ctrl+X

Cut.

Ctrl+Z

Undo.

DEL/ Delete

Delete.

End

Go to the end (selected item stays selected).

Esc

Cancel the current task.

F1

Help.

Home

Go to the beginning (selected item stays selected).

Shift+End  Selects text from the current position to the end of the line. 
Shift+Home  Selects text from the current position to the beginning of the text in the line. Pressing Shift+Home again will select to the beginning of the line. 
Shift+Tab  Select previous field. 
Tab Select next field. 
You can enable or disable tabbing through numeric edit-fields with the ControlCenter option "Use automatic tab for numeric fields".

<Character>

If the <character> corresponds with the first character of an option in a displayed (popup/ pulldown) menu, this option will be selected.

 

Global Shortcuts for AMT Screens

Key Combination Description
Alt+<Underlined character>

The item (e.g. a button or menu option) that corresponds with the <Underlined character> will be selected.

Note: Shortcuts on the various tabs have priority over global shortcuts in the case of double shortcuts. 

Alt+E Opens the menu option 'Edit'.
Alt+F Opens the menu option 'File'.
Alt+H Opens the menu option 'Help'.
Alt+J  Go to Start Job.
Alt+M Opens the menu option 'Macros'.
Alt+N  Go to Job Management.
Alt+O Opens the menu option 'Options'.
Alt+S Opens the menu option 'Select'.
Alt+Q Go to RTQuery.

Ctrl+End

Go to the last field.
When in a memo-field, this combination will jump to the end of the memo-field.
When on a tabsheet of a pagecontrol, this combination will jump to the last field on the tabsheet.

Ctrl+Del Clear to the end of the parent object.

Ctrl+Home

Go to the first field. 
When in a memo-field, this combination will jump to the start of the memo-field.
When on a tabsheet of a pagecontrol, this combination will jump to the first field on the tabsheet.

Ctrl+I

Activates the tab sheet for the previously selected screen.

Ctrl+P

Print screen.

Ctrl+S

Display dialog to select another screen.

Ctrl+F1

Show hint.

Shift+Ctrl+C Start Calculator.

In Windows 10, the calculator app is started as a background process by default, to be able to use the calculator shortcut this should be turned off. This can be done by clicking Start > Settings > search for 'Background Apps' > Set the Calculator entry to 'Off'. After a restart of windows, the shortcut should then be able open the calculator app.
